What Is Fusion Fractional Mesotherapy?

Fusion Fractional Mesotherapy is a cutting-edge treatment combines the benefits of microneedling, sometimes know as collagen induction therapy, and mesotherapy.  The process triggers the skin's natural repair response to healthy looking skin whilst increasing product absorption. 

The practice of mesotherapy was established in the 1950s by French doctor Michel Pistor, originally as a pain relief treatment.  Since then it has gained popularity as a non-surgical cosmetic treatment designed to promote collagen and elastin production in the skin and boost blood circulation through tiny injections of a cocktail of vitamins, minerals and other beneficial ingredients including hyaluronic acid.  

It involves the use of very fine needles to give multiple injections of a specially designed blend of beneficial ingredients which offer immediate and long lasting results in terms of skin rejuvenation and hydration.

Can Anyone Have Fractional Mesotherapy?

The treatment is suitable for anyone wishing to correct skin concerns from within.  It is an effective anti-aging treatment that can benefit anyone aged from their late twenties onwards, as well as being used to address concerns such as acne scarring and pigmentation.

Is Fractional Mesotherapy Painful?

The treatment is not painful although some people do report that it is slightly uncomfortable.  Your Eastwood Retreat skin therapist will talk to you in detail about what to expect at your initial consultation.

What Can I Expect At My Fractional Mesotherapy Appointment?

Before your treatment our experienced beauty technician will carry out a full consultation with you to understand your skin concerns and medical history. Following this, your skin will be cleansed and exfoliated prior to the mesotherapy treatment.

We will then use the Fusion Meso pen, an electronic device, to make multiple micro pin-pricks in your skin, directing high performance nutrients into the skin.     

Your appointment will take up to an hour for a full face.

Is There Any Downtime After Fractional Mesotherapy?

No downtime is needed.  You can expect to see some redness or tiny needle marks after the treatment (the inflamatory stage), which will clear after approximately 3-4 days.   After this your body will start to repair the skin and go into the remodelling stage for 6 weeks.

Occasionally there may be a little bruising or swelling but this should clear within 24 -48 hours, although it can take up to a week.

How Many Fractional Mesotherapy Treatments Will I Need?

If you simply want an instant glowing complexion, for example for a special occasion, then you may choose to have a single treatment. 

To achieve optimum results however, and particularly if you want to tackle a specific skin concern, or for fat reduction, we recommend a series of between 4 and 6 sessions at two weekly intervals.  Most patients will notice a significant improvement after 2 or 3 sessions.  After the initial series of treatments, we recommend you book maintenance appointments every 6 to 8 weeks.

How Long Do The Results Of Fractional Mesotherapy Last?

You can expect to see immediate results after one session, which will continue for several weeks afterwards.  By completing the full recommended course you will achieve optimum results, but you can expect to need maintenance appointments every 6 to 8 weeks to maintain these.
